Between 15th and 18th April the 15th International Students Law Conference iSLaCo took place in St. Petersburg. Under the topic „Comparative law: enrichment of national legal traditions“ the participants discussed in three different boards about „national law in international arbitration decisions“, „Do universal legal principles appear in national legal systems?“ and „Legal regulation of Internet: comparative analysis“.
Iryna Lishchuck attended the conference to present IRI and research projects conducted by IRI (in particular CHIC, EURECA and Linked2Safety). She participated in the legal session „Legal regulation of internet“ and made a presentation on „Software Copyright on the Internet“. The presentation covered the IPR issues which the IRI investigates, described the legal framework for protection of software by copyright and mentioned some EU and US case law.
Furthermore, Iryna Lishchuk will attend the INFOCOMP 2015 Conference which will take place from June 21st to 26th in Brussels.
