The excellent cooperation between the IRI and the Norwegian Center for Computers and Law (hereinafter NCCL) especially in the context of our Postgraduate European Legal Informatics Studying Programme (EULISP), has allowed the establishment of a very beneficial tradition, namely that of the joint EULISP seminar. Our EULISP students that have chosen the NCCL for the second semester of their studies present their seminar papers on contemporary problems of IT and IP Law before the scientific staff of both Institutions. This event brings together the academic personnel of both institutions every year, offering thus the chance for a very fruitful exchange of ideas and approaches. This year was no exception to that very nice tradition: this time the common seminar took place on April 28, 2015 in Oslo. Prof. Dr. Forgó, Prof. Dr. em. Wolfgang Kilian and the EULISP coordinators Stephanie Heinrich and Ioannis Revolidis represented the IRI at the seminar and attended 6 interesting lectures in topics that covered different aspects of Data Protection and Intellectual Property law. Ass. Professor Tobias Mahler joined the seminar on behalf of the NCCL contributing with his questions interesting input to the discussion after each presentation.
The IRI would like to once more thank the NCCL for the perfect organization of the seminar and the warm hospitality.
The upcoming EULISP edition will start during the winter semester of 2015. The application deadline for EU or German applicants will be open until July 15, 2015. For those of you interested to join EULISP and – why not – the next joint seminar we would like to cordially invite you to visit our website www.eulisp.de or sent us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
